The waterfront condo strip — Mariner's Cove, Independence Harbor, Marina Pointe, Trump Plaza, and the surrounding buildings — has floor-to-ceiling windows facing the Hudson. The morning light there is some of the best in the metro area, especially between 8 AM and 11 AM when the sun crosses the river.
We use that light. Skin-prep color-matching happens directly in the actual lighting where the day will unfold, not under salon LED fixtures that misread tone. Foundation undertones get tested against the same window light that will be in every getting-ready photo and content-creator BTS clip. Lashes are checked for transparency under direct sun exposure if the day involves outdoor balcony or rooftop shots.

7:00 AM (bridal morning) or shoot start time. We confirm parking and arrival logistics. Edgewater building access varies — most waterfront condos have visitor parking and front-desk check-in, while smaller buildings have street parking or driveway access. We coordinate in advance.
30 minutes before application. We arrive and set up. Edgewater waterfront condos typically have great natural light, so setup happens near a window facing the Hudson. We unpack the kit, set up portable lighting if needed for matching the venue's later conditions, and review the morning timeline.
Application begins. For bridal mornings, the rotation typically starts with mom or a bridesmaid and finishes with the bride for fresh photos. For photoshoots and content creator days, we work in coordinated rotations between makeup and the photographer's schedule, often doing multiple looks in a single day. For events, we work to the event schedule with the goal of finishing early to allow time for the bride or birthday girl to settle into the look.
Through the day. Our makeup is designed to last. Long-wear products, properly set, hold through outdoor waterfront photos, indoor reception lighting, and everything in between. We provide a touch-up tip sheet, but most Edgewater clients never need to touch their makeup once we leave.
For multi-look shoots. We stay on-site between segments, adjusting and refreshing as the photographer moves through different looks, locations on the property, and lighting conditions. Common for content creator and brand campaign work.
The Waterfront Condo Strip (River Road). Mariner's Cove, Independence Harbor, Marina Pointe, Trump Plaza Edgewater, Mariner's Landing, and the surrounding buildings. Most of our Edgewater bridal mornings happen here. We're familiar with most of the buildings, the parking arrangements, and the morning light in the suites.
Edgewater Pier & the Waterfront Promenade. Famous photo locations. Bridal portraits, engagement portraits, content creator shoots all happen here regularly. Makeup designed for camera-tested durability under direct waterfront light.
Edgewater Commons & central commercial strip. Smaller boutique residences and apartment buildings. We do home visits and meet bridal parties here for getting-ready logistics.
Northern Edgewater along Hudson Avenue. Quieter residential character — original Edgewater homes and townhouses. Less skyline-focused but still beautiful waterfront character.
Hotel suites at nearby Bergen and Hudson hotels. Many Edgewater brides who don't have a local residence choose nearby hotel suites for the wedding morning. We work all of these regularly.
Surrounding Bergen County luxury wedding venues. Many Edgewater brides marry at established Bergen County venues — Edgewood Country Club, Indian Trail Club, Tappan Hill — and get ready in their Edgewater condo. We coordinate the morning around the photographer's first-look timeline and any travel time.

Multi-look shoot day rates. Editorial, brand campaign, and content creator day rates are quoted custom based on number of looks, length of day, and any styling coordination needs.
Bridal trial sessions. Recommended 4 to 8 weeks before the wedding. Trials can be scheduled at our Jersey City studio, at your Edgewater residence, or at a photo location of your choice.
Group bookings. Bridal parties of 4+ are coordinated on a custom morning timeline. For very large parties (8+ faces), we bring in a second artist to keep the morning smooth without compromising quality.
